Welcome to The Orchard website at www.theorchard.ie. Please take a moment to read these terms and conditions including our policies (collectively the “Terms”) to understand how they apply to your use of our website and any products or services that you may order online.

We will do our utmost to ensure that availability of the website is uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the Internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.
1. GENERAL TERMS
1.1 References
References in these Terms and Conditions to “we”, “us” and “The Orchard” mean Orchard Home and Garden (Celbridge) Limited, a private company registered in Ireland under company number 110850, registered office Dublin Road, Celbridge, Co Kildare, VAT No. 4804136R. Phone: 01 628 8903.
1.2 Scope of these Terms
- These Terms govern your access to and use of this website.
- By browsing, registering or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept them in full.
- They constitute the entire agreement between you and The Orchard and, to the extent permitted by law, replace any previous terms, conditions, warranties or representations.
- If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from using the site.
- Additional provisions in Section 2 (“Online Shopping Terms”) apply to all purchases made through www.theorchard.ie and form part of this agreement.
1.3 Changes to these Terms
- We may revise these Terms from time to time.
- Any amended version will be posted on this page with the “last updated” date.
- Revisions apply only to future use of the website and to orders placed after the new Terms come into effect; contracts already concluded remain governed by the Terms that were in force at the time of checkout.
- By continuing to browse or use the site after the revised Terms are posted, you agree to be bound by them.
- If you do not accept the changes, please stop using the website.
1.4 Permitted Use of the Website
- You may access and use this site solely for your personal, non-commercial shopping or information needs.
- Any other use, including copying, modifying, distributing, deep-linking, data-mining, or uploading harmful code, is prohibited unless we give you prior written permission.
- You agree to indemnify and hold The Orchard harmless from all losses, damages, costs or claims that arise from any use of the site which breaches these Terms or any applicable law.
1.5 Site Security and Availability
We may, without notice, suspend the site (or your account) if we reasonably believe:
- You are using it in breach of these Terms;
- Information you have provided is false, inaccurate or incomplete; or
- Suspension is necessary for maintenance or security.
Granting you extra time or any other indulgence will not constitute a waiver of our rights.
1.6 Marketing Communications
By completing an online purchase with The Orchard you consent to receive our occasional marketing emails. You may withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the footer of any marketing email or emailing info@theorchard.ie. Your request will be actioned promptly and no later than one month from receipt.
1.7 Privacy & Information Security
- We take your privacy seriously. Any personal data you submit on this website—including payment-card details—is processed through Stripe, our PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider, and stored on secure, encrypted servers.
- We place small text files called cookies on your device to recognise it, analyse traffic and improve your shopping experience. Full details are set out in our Privacy & Cookies Statement.
- We will never sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We disclose information only when required by law or necessary to deliver the services you have requested.
- Despite our best efforts to safeguard data in transit, the Internet is not 100% secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information you send to us.

1.8 Accuracy of Information
- We endeavour to keep all information on this website accurate, complete and up-to-date; however, we do not guarantee that the content is free from errors or omissions.
- Product images are for illustrative purposes only. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
1.9 Intellectual Property
- All content on this site, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, audio-visual clips and software, is the property of The Orchard or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws.
- You may download, view or print single copies for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, adaptation, distribution or exploitation is prohibited without our prior written consent.
1.10 Use of Logos, Product Images and Other Content
You must not use, reproduce, modify or distribute our name, trademarks, product images or any other site content without express written permission from The Orchard. Unauthorised use may infringe our intellectual-property rights and could give rise to civil or criminal liability.
1.11 Hyperlinks
- This website may contain links to external sites operated by third parties. Such links are provided for convenience only.
- We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites.
- Accessing external links is at your own risk, and a link should not be interpreted as endorsement by The Orchard.
1.12 Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- Website availability
We aim to keep the site running smoothly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, timely or error-free service, nor that the server or site are free from viruses or other harmful components. - Exclusion of warranties
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, all representations, warranties and conditions, whether express or implied, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. - Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to the foregoing, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of your use of the site or the purchase of our products; and our total aggregate liability for any claim shall be limited to the purchase price you paid for the relevant order. - Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold The Orchard harmless from any loss, damage, claim, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site or breach of these Terms.
Your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law are not affected.
2. ONLINE SHOPPING TERMS
These terms apply to every order placed through www.theorchard.ie. Please read them carefully and keep a copy for reference.
2.1 Registration
- You must create an account before placing your first order.
- Registration is available only to addresses within our delivery area (Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). If you later change to an out-of-area address we will be unable to accept further orders.
- During registration you must provide accurate personal details and a delivery address and choose a password. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for all activity on your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or incomplete information.
2.2 Products, Prices & Availability
- All items and prices (in euro, VAT included) shown online are subject to stock.
- We may alter specifications or discontinue products without notice. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will notify you promptly and refund any money paid.
- Images and colours are for illustration only; actual packaging or shade may vary with screen settings.
- We reserve the right to cancel any order containing a material price or description error; a full refund will be issued where payment was taken.
2.3 Gift Cards
E-gift and physical gift cards may be bought online and are governed by the separate Gift Card Terms & Conditions.
2.4 Pricing Policy
- You pay the price displayed at checkout plus the delivery fee shown.
- For variable-weight goods (e.g., bulk compost), your final charge reflects the actual weight supplied.
- Promotional prices apply only while stocks last and may carry additional conditions.
2.5 Offers
We may amend or withdraw online offers at any time without notice. Changes affect future purchases only and do not alter contracts already concluded.
2.6 Payment
By submitting payment-card details you confirm you are authorised to use the card and that sufficient funds are available. Payment is captured when we accept your order. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. In line with our Privacy Policy, The Orchard does not collect or store your payment card details at any stage — this information is handled directly by Stripe using encrypted and PCI-compliant systems.
2.7 Stock Shortages
If an item is temporarily out of stock we will offer a revised delivery date, suitable substitute or refund—at your choice.
2.8 Order Confirmation & Formation of Contract
Your online order is an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we email you an Order Confirmation showing the goods, total price and estimated delivery date.
Occasionally, these emails may be filtered into your junk or spam folder by your email provider. We recommend checking these folders if you do not see your confirmation email shortly after placing your order.
Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law.
3. DELIVERY
3.1 Delivery Area
We deliver to all addresses in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, except certain offshore locations. Delivery to other locations is not available at this time.
3.2 Delivery Charges
Delivery fees are calculated by order value and weight and shown at checkout.
3.3 Delivery Times
- We aim to deliver within 3–7 working days depending on stock availability and your location.
- Dates given are estimates and not guaranteed.
- We will notify you of any significant delay.
3.4 Receiving Your Order
- Please inspect your delivery immediately and notify us of any damage or missing items within 24 hours.
- An authorised adult must be available to receive the goods.
- If nobody is available, the driver may leave goods in a safe place or attempt redelivery.
4. RETURNS & REFUNDS
Returns & Cancellations Policy
4.1. Change-of-Mind Returns
- Period: You may return unused items within 14 calendar days of the date you receive them.
- Condition: Goods must be in a resalable state: clean, unassembled, in their original packaging with all labels, accessories and the receipt or dispatch note.
- Exclusions: We cannot accept returns of:
- Custom-made, personalised or cut-to-length products
- Perishable plants or food items once they have left our care
- Gift cards or vouchers
- Sale or clearance items marked “non-returnable”
- Restocking fee: Large-item collections may incur an uplift & restocking charge equal to 15 % of the item value or €45, whichever is higher. We will confirm the exact amount before arranging collection. Large-items include: furniture, barbecues, garden buildings, and items weighing over 70kg.
4.2. Faulty, Damaged or Not as Described
If your item arrives damaged, develops a fault, or is not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery (or as soon as the fault appears). Under Irish and EU consumer law you are entitled to repair, replacement or refund. We will cover reasonable return or collection costs for confirmed faults.
4.3. How to Return
- Email customerservice@theorchard.ie with:
- your name & contact number
- order number / till receipt number
- item description & reason for return (photos if damaged)
- Wait for our returns authorisation and, where relevant, collection quote.

We recommend an insured, trackable service; the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches us.
4.4. Refunds
- Processed to the original payment method only within 7 working days of the item reaching our returns team and passing inspection.
- Refunds will not be issued until the returned goods are received and inspected.
- Delivery charges are refunded only where the entire order is returned because it was faulty, damaged or incorrect.
4.5. Exchanges
Stock-dependent. Let us know in your email if you’d prefer an exchange; we will reserve replacement items for seven days.
4.6. Order Cancellations (before dispatch)
Email info@theorchard.ie or call 01 627 8904 before 17:00 on the day of order. Orders cancelled after dispatch are treated as change-of-mind returns and outward/return delivery costs will be deducted from your refund.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Eden Reward Card Terms & Conditions
Operator
The scheme is run by Orchard Home & Garden (Celbridge) Ltd., Dublin Road, Celbridge, Co. Kildare (VAT 4804136R).
5.1. Earning Points
- Present your Eden Reward Card or quote your membership number at checkout; points cannot be added retrospectively.
- 1 point = €1 spend. Points usually appear on your account within 24 hours.
- Excluded lines: Weber, Neptune, Food Hall, Books, Cards (and any other items we may specify from time to time – which will be noted in-store and/or online).
5.2. Value of Points
100 points = €1 to spend in-store. Points have no cash alternative and are not transferable.
5.3. Redeeming Points
- Points can be redeemed only by the named cardholder and may be used as full or part payment on eligible purchases.
- We may request photo ID at redemption.
- Returns: if a purchase is refunded, the corresponding points will be deducted.
5.4. Card Management
- The card remains our property and must be returned on request.
- Lost or stolen cards: notify us immediately; we are not responsible for unauthorised use before notice is received.
5.5. Changes to the Scheme
We may amend, suspend or terminate the programme (or these Terms) with 30 days’ notice posted in-store and online. Continued use of the card after the effective date constitutes acceptance. We will take reasonable steps to notify members in advance.
5.6. Data Protection
By joining, you agree that we may process your personal data and purchase history to administer the programme and send you tailored offers. You can opt out or cancel your membership at any time by contacting info@theorchard.ie.
6. GIFT CARD TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Orchard is the trading name of Orchard Home & Garden (Celbridge) Ltd., Dublin Road, Celbridge, Co Kildare, Ireland (Company No. 110850, VAT 4804136R).
6.1. Nature of the Card
- The Orchard Gift Card is not a credit, charge or cheque-guarantee card.
- It can be used only for in-store purchases at The Orchard, Celbridge.
6.2. Using the Card
- Present the card at the till to pay, in full or part, for eligible goods or services.
- The value of your purchase is deducted from the card balance; any unused balance remains on the card.
- You will receive a receipt showing the transaction and updated balance — please keep this for your records.
- Balance enquiries can be made at any till.
- The card can be used partially or over multiple transactions.
6.3. Validity & Expiry
- The card has no expiry date.
- It is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
6.4. Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards
- Treat the card as cash; The Orchard accepts no liability for lost, stolen or damaged cards.
- We may decline any card that cannot be verified or has not been properly activated.
- We may, at our discretion, reissue a lost or stolen card if the original transaction details can be verified.
6.5. Amendments
- We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted in-store and on our website.
- Continued use of the card after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
7. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
